The context
Municipal geographic information platforms need to keep pace with the needs of council services and with the instruments used to manage the territory. For the Câmara Municipal de Guimarães, Waymotion carried out maintenance and development work on the municipal WebGIS.
The work
The collaboration documented between 2016 and 2020 included, in 2018, the development of software for location plans and the PDM, integrated into the municipality’s WebGIS environment.
What it left behind
This reference brings together two complementary dimensions of Waymotion’s work: looking after an existing platform and building specific applications for its users. That continuity makes it possible to build on the investment the municipality has already made and to adjust the solution to the needs that emerge over time.
