This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which ones we use on our website, and how you can manage them. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which describes how we process personal data under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Portuguese Law No. 41/2004 of 18 August (privacy in electronic communications).

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, or work more efficiently, and to provide information to site owners. Similar technologies — such as the browser’s local storage — serve comparable purposes.

Which cookies we use

We use cookies for a single purpose: audience analytics through Google Analytics. These cookies help us understand how visitors use the site — which pages they view and what they click — in an aggregated, statistical way, so we can continuously improve the content and the experience.

This data is processed by Google. For more information, see Google’s privacy policy and how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Cookies we do not use

We do not use advertising, marketing, or profiling cookies, nor do we share analytics data for those purposes.

The site does not rely on any cookies to function — we use no strictly necessary or functional cookies. The only cookies are analytics (Google Analytics), and they are set solely with your consent, which you can give, refuse, or withdraw at any time, without affecting your ability to browse.

How to manage cookies

Your choice is saved and you can change it whenever you like:

(also available on any page, via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.) Alternatively, you can control and delete cookies at any time:

  • In your browser — most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their privacy settings. See your browser’s help (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge).
  • For Google Analytics — you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to prevent data collection.

Blocking analytics cookies does not affect how the website works.

Other technologies

To remember your theme preference (light/dark), we store a setting in the browser’s local storage. It is not a cookie, does not identify you, and is not used for tracking.

Changes to this Policy

This policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in the technologies we use or in applicable law. Changes will be published on this page with a revised update date.
