This Privacy Policy explains how Waymotion processes the personal data collected through the www.waymotion.com website and in the course of its relationship with clients and partners, in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Portuguese Law No. 58/2019 of 8 August.
Data controller
The data controller is Waymotion, Lda, NIPC 513229248, with registered office at Pólo Tecnológico de Lisboa, Rua António Champalimaud, Lote 1, 1600-514 Lisboa, Portugal. For any privacy question, contact privacy@waymotion.com.
What data we collect
- Data you provide — when you write to us. The website has no contact form: email is the only channel, so we collect just your name, your address and the content of your message.
- Usage data — none. The published site runs no audience analytics, no other measurement or tracking tool, and sets no cookies (see our Cookie Policy, which also sets out what would apply if we ever switched measurement on).
- Server logs — like any web server, the one hosting this site records every request: IP address, date and time, page requested, response code, referrer and browser identification. They exist solely to operate and protect the site (diagnostics and abuse detection), are not combined with other data or used to tell us who visits, and are rotated out after 14 days.
We do not collect special categories of data, nor do we carry out automated decision-making or profiling.
Purposes and legal bases
| Purpose | Legal basis (GDPR) |
|---|---|
| Responding to enquiries and business requests | Pre-contractual steps and legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f)) |
| Operating and protecting the site (logs) | Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) |
| Compliance with legal obligations | Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) |
Retention
Server logs are kept for 14 days. Otherwise, we keep data only for as long as necessary for the purposes above or for the periods required by law. Business contacts are kept while the relationship is active and, thereafter, for the applicable limitation period.
Processors and transfers
In this configuration, hosting is the only processor involved in your visit to this site — no third party receives data through your browsing, because the site loads nothing from external servers. Providers that process data on our behalf in other contexts (email, for instance) are held to the same requirements and, whenever a transfer outside the European Economic Area occurs, we ensure appropriate safeguards under the GDPR.
Your rights
You may at any time exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection and withdraw any consent given, by contacting privacy@waymotion.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority, the Portuguese Data Protection Authority (CNPD) — www.cnpd.pt.
Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, within our Information Security Management System.
